Accessibility Tip: Choose the Right Form Before You Build
When creating a form for employees, students, or the public, accessibility starts long before you select a platform. The best form solution is the one that helps users complete their task easily, efficiently, and with minimal barriers.
While fillable PDFs can be a good option in certain situations, they are not always the best choice. In many cases, a web-based form may provide a more accessible experience, especially for users on mobile devices or those using assistive technology.
Before creating your next form, ask yourself:
- Does the form need to collect responses electronically?
- Will users need to access the form on a mobile device?
- Do users need to save, print, or share the completed form?
- Is a web form a better option for the intended audience?
- Have accessibility requirements been considered from the beginning?
Choosing the right format early can save time, reduce rework, and create a better experience for everyone.
