Grant eases burden for teachers in Early Childhood Special Education
In the first semester of the Elevating Early Childhood Special Education Grant, $30,000 of support was given to 12 students. This grant provides funding for students seeking licensure in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), offering up to 6 credits of tuition support to help combat the shortage of licensed ECSE teachers in Minnesota.
“When I learned this might be an opportunity I actually started crying,” recipient Kaye Standke said. “I was like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me. This is unreal to have.'”
