Biology alum and founder & executive director of Inspire Innovation Lab to speak at StartupBREW

Wednesday, Sept. 20 | 8 to 9:30 a.m. | Brewhalla (1702 1st Ave. N., Fargo) | WEAR RED!

Carrie Leopold, founder and executive director of Inspire Innovation Lab and a 2004 MSUM biology graduate, will be one of the featured speakers at the Wednesday, Sept. 20 StartupBREW, an Emerging Prairie monthly event. The MSUM-sponsored event runs from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Brewhalla.

Carrie worked in a research lab for two years before deciding to pursue her passion for education. She taught in public education, informal settings and at the college level (including as an adjunct instructor at MSUM teaching Intro to Public Health), and worked as a STEM Outreach Coordinator before opening the Inspire Innovation Lab. She creates innovative learning opportunities for teachers, students and the community with a focus on building resilience. Carrie believes in the power of asking questions, even the difficult, messy ones, and encourages others to embrace the benefits of up-to-your-eyeballs-in-alligators levels of messy, chaotic learning.

We want to pack StartupBREW with a sea of RED and show our Dragon pride for the work Carrie is doing with Inspire Innovation Lab.

Please join us to hear Carrie’s entrepreneurial story.
