The MUSM School Psychology Program student association, the Association of School Psychologists (ASP), received the 2017-2018 National Association School Psychologists (NASP) Student Leadership Award for Outstanding Advocacy Activities. The award ceremony took place at the 2018 NASP annual convention in Chicago. This award was in recognition of the ASP’s volunteer activities such as participating in the ND Autism Center’s Autism Walk and raising over $500 for public schools affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Graduate students Joshua Johnson (NASP student representative) and Stacy Meester (ASP co-president) accepted the award on behalf of ASP members.
