Economic Society Attends NABE TEC2025 Conference

In November, Economic Society members Kobey Block, Benjamin Hoppe, Julia Keddy, Sulamithe Isimbi Minani, Crescin Muzzy, Ava Owens, Brenden Rentz-Molde, Caitlin Savage, and Brandon Toribio attended the National Association for Business Economics TEC2025 Conference in Seattle, Washington. The conference focused on developments within economics, technology, and data science.

Economists and researchers from academia (MIT, Stanford, University of Chicago, etc.) and the private sector (Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Meta, Netflix, etc.) presented research findings and also offered industry projections related to the impact of artificial intelligence. During the three-day conference, MSUM students enjoyed networking with these academic and industry leaders. They also explored Seattle and experienced the vibrant arts and nature-focused city culture, visiting places such as the Pike Place Market and the Space Needle.

This experience was made possible thanks to the generosity of MSUM Economics alumni and SAFAC funding.

The Economic Society welcomes students from all majors. Contact President Brandon Toribio at brandon.toribio@go.minnesota.edu to get involved in spring 2026.
