The talk, free and open to the public, will explore what a mid-century fashion doll and World War II nuclear history have to say about our culture today. The panel includes faculty experts in a variety of disciplines: Kazimir Gazdzik (Cold War), Ananda Shastri (physics), T.L. Jordan (women’s and gender studies), Raymond Rea (film), and Kay Beckermann (advertising, PR).

A question and answer session will follow. A Barbie box will be available for photos.

This event is sponsored by MSUM’s Women’s & Gender Studies and the Honors Program.
