Course Design Intensive
Course Design Intensive is a collaborative offering from the Faculty and Professional Learning Center and the Office of Online Learning. The one-day intensive will be offered several times throughout the year. Much of the time will be spent in hands-on work so faculty are encouraged to bring a syllabus, course shell, or course outline on which they will build.
Course Design Intensive draws on well-established practices in backward course design emphasizing the writing and interpretation of meaningful student learning outcomes and mapping these outcomes to meaning assessments (both formative and summative) and student engagement activities.
Fall semester dates include:
- Friday, October 13, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Friday, December 1, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
