Kevin Zepper and Kenyon Williams to perform at StartupBREW

MSUM Professors Dr. Kenyon Wiliams and Dr. Kevin Zepper will perform three poems written by Zepper with percussion accompaniment by Williams at the Wednesday, Sept. 20 StartupBREW, an Emerging Prairie monthly event. The MSUM-sponsored event runs from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Brewhalla.
Through their creative interactions, the sounds and emotions of Zepper’s personal poetry are highlighted using a dizzying pallet of sounds: acoustic colors from around the world uniquely available to percussionists. The rhythm of the words comes to life with sounds ranging from the gentle flow of Trinidadian steel drums to West African drums and even Aztec death whistles!
