Bike-Lock Loan Program offered by Public Safety
MSUM Public Safety now offers a bike-lock loan program for students. Public Safety will have a limited supply of U-shaped bike locks that can be checked out at the Public Safety Office during business hours. These locks can be checked out for an individual semester or the full school year. Locks that are not returned or damaged will be subjected to a $40.00 fee applied to the student’s bill. These locks are made of heavy-duty steel, are cut resistant and proven to decrease bicycle thefts. MSUM does not guarantee or take responsibility for theft or damage of bicycles while using this type of lock and encourages use of a bike lock made of a durable material and not easily cut with tools such as bolt cutters or other similar tools.
