Delegation of Authority update

With the appointment of a new University President, all Delegation of Authority forms will need to be updated and approved.  Over the next week, you may receive an email prompting you to electronically approve a new Delegation of Authority form.

Delegation of Authority is specific and customized to each individual, and is determined by position, oversight responsibility, and other considerations.  Business Services maintains these delegations in compliance with Minnesota State Policy Minnesota State Board Policy 1A.3 and Minnesota State Board Procedure 1A.2.2. Below are a few common reasons you may receive a Delegation of Authority:

  • You have a University purchasing card
  •  You are a Student Payroll Supervisor
  • Your position requires you to sign contracts
  • Your working title has changed
