Dragon Career Closest is now accepting financial donations and gift cards
The MSUM Career Development Center is now accepting financial donations and gift cards to fulfill the mission of the Dragon Career Closet by providing students with professional attire.
The Dragon Career Closet is an on-campus resource allowing current students to select gently used or new professional attire for interviews, work, events, and other career-building activities.
“We want students to look as professional and qualified on the outside as they are on the inside, increasing their confidence and decreasing their stress,” said Samantha Gust, director of MSUM’s Career Development Center. “We are grateful for the continued support of the MSUM Dragon family! Your donations help us provide professional attire to students who may not otherwise have access to it. It significantly impacts their ability to make a great first impression.”
The Dragon Career Closet accepts financial donations of cash, checks or gift cards to retailers such as Target, Kohls and Amazon. The Career Development Center staff will use these resources to purchase professional clothing and accessories. Donations can be dropped off at the Career Development Center office in Flora Frick Hall 151 or mailed to the MSUM Foundation.

Join us in supporting MSUM students as they take the next step toward their careers. The Dragon Career Closet provides students with free, gently used professional attire for interviews, work, events, and other career-building activities. Please help us ensure every student can access this vital resource by contributing financially. Your donation will help us purchase new items and maintain the quality of our current inventory.
The Dragon Career Closet has seen a significant increase in demand for its services since the start of the pandemic. In addition, many students have faced financial hardships due to the economic downturn, making it even more difficult to afford professional attire. By donating to the Career Closet, individuals can help make a difference in the lives of these students and help them succeed in their professional endeavors.
“We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their financial situation,” Gust said. “Your support will help us continue to provide this valuable service to our students, and we thank you for your generosity.”
