Lunch & Learn About Microaggressions, Hosted by Associate Provost for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Frank King

Microaggressions are commonplace, thinly veiled comments or actions that impact individuals based upon facial identity, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, or ability. These comments, whether intentional or accidental, can affect the psychological well-being of people from marginalized communities. This discussion will make historical connections to some microaggressions, explain their impacts, and what we can do to reduce the use of them.
