Mental Health First Aid: YOUTH Population – May 4 – 9 am – 4 pm – LI 124 (This was previously advertised as Adult population – we will do an Adult Population one in Fall 2022)
Facilitated by members of MSUM’s Graduate Counseling faculty, This 8 -hour training (with breaks, snacks, and a lunch) will cover a variety of topics in how to help a youth experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis including adolescent development and common mental health disorders experienced by youth. As well as sign and symptoms, risk factor and protective factors for mental health. This training will also review suicide and self-harm as well as taking care of yourself as a first aider.
