Speak Up 2022: Speaker Nominations and Applications

Speak Up is a TEDx-style event at MSUM. It will feature up to eight speakers each giving an 8 to 10-minute talk on a topic they are passionate about as it relates to this year’s theme. On February 22, 2022 MSUM will host the fourth annual Speak Up, with the theme of “The Purpose of Identity.” Speak Up is a student-led event that gives MSUM students, faculty, and community members a place to talk about their experiences. The event will consist of speakers and musicians expressing what the purpose of identity is to them. Speakers will give a short talk about any topic relating to their experiences with identity.

Speak Up 2022’s theme is “The Purpose of Identity.” Is there something that makes you uniquely recognizable? What does identity mean to you? Does your identity empower or you or give you a unique perspective on a topic?
