New Employee Assistance Provider – LifeMatters
The past year has demonstrated the importance of having strong support systems. As a part of your benefits, we provide an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help you and your family navigate challenges that come your way. We partner with an external provider to protect your privacy and connect you with the best resources, experts, and support. Starting today, that external partner will be LifeMatters.
Here to Help
Our EAP provides services that can help you find balance at work and at home, whether it’s assisting you with practical tasks or connecting you to counselors or consultative services. All services are free and confidential. Discover a few ways that EAP can help you and your family.
Six free sessions with a counselor. You and your family members receive six free and confidential counseling sessions per person, per year, per topic.
Culturally sensitive counselors. If it’s helpful, you can request a counselor who identifies as a person of color, shares your sexual orientation, gender, and more. This customized service helps provide a safe space where you and your family members feel valued and get meaningful support.
Adoption and child care. Get assistance finding child care, before and after-school programs, tutors, summer camps, or nanny and au pair agencies. If you’re planning to adopt, EAP can help you find adoption agencies and international adoption resources.
Legal and financial consultations. Meet with an attorney to discuss estate planning, family law issues, traffic citations, and more. Financial counselors can help you set up a budget, assist with debt management and consolidation, or recover from identify theft.
Well-being webinars. Attend webinars that give you practical tips and inspiration to improve your health and professional development. Check out the new schedule and register for a webinar.
Services research. Get help finding available services in your area. This includes pet sitters, veterinarians, moving services, repair services, and more.
Supporting you through this Transition
Our EAP phone line automatically switched to our new provider, LifeMatters. If you or a family member is currently meeting with a counselor through Deer Oaks, you can continue to do so without interruption. Once your remaining counseling sessions are over, re-establish your services by contacting LifeMatters at 1-800-657-3719. Most counselors are in LifeMatters’ network, but if they are not, they will make every effort to help your counselor join their network. To support you through this transition, you will have access to six free counseling sessions, even if you used these services earlier this year.
If you have any questions about your current services, you can contact Deer Oaks at 866-327-2400.
