Safe Zone Training for Students!

Students can now sign up for virtual Safe Zone Training via Dragon Central! These interactive trainings are facilitated by the Rainbow Dragon Center’s team of Safe Zone Peer Educators and use live captioning.

WHO: All MSUM and M State students are eligible to register for free.

WHAT: Safe Zone Training introduces students to LGBTQ+ identities, experiences, and issues, providing a foundation of knowledge and skills for participants to become better allies and build inclusive environments. Topics covered include: LGBTQ+ terminology, privilege, heteronormativity, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, coming out, how to be an ally, campus and community resources, and real life scenarios to apply what you’ve learned.

WHY: Students who complete the training can earn Pathways credit and will receive a Safe Zone sticker for their door, laptop, or wherever you’d like to display it. Safe Zone training is also a great certification you can add to your resumes and will help you create welcoming organizations, workplaces, and campus community.

WHEN: Trainings are offered throughout the semester. Check Dragon Central to register for a training today! All trainings are listed on the Rainbow Dragon Center’s page.
