Drs. Glessner and Johnson publish “The Experiences and Perceptions of Practicing Special Education Teachers During the COVID-19 Pandemic”

Drs. Marci Glessner and Shirley Johnson published the article, The Experiences and Perceptions of Practicing Special Education Teachers During the COVID-19 Pandemic in the December, 2020 issue of the Interactive Journal and Global Leadership and Learning journal.   They collected and analyzed journal entries from five special education teachers who, in the spring of 2020, wrote about their experiences teaching during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Findings demonstrated specific factors that promoted resiliency in teaching during a pandemic: seeking out connections and relationships, establishing routines, and looking to administration, peers and families for guidance and support.
