Coretta Scott King: The Life, Legacy & Courageous Fight to Keep “the Dream” Alive

FM community leader and activist Faith Shields-Dixon will speak to the under-recognized work and achievements of Coretta Scott King in the Civil Rights Movement. Active in racial justice politics and the peace movement before marrying Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King spoke up earlier and more forcefully against American involvement in Vietnam than her husband did, and her critique of American economics and war making continued for decades after his death.

Listen in on Monday, Feb. 22nd from 4:00-5:15pm: https://minnstate.zoom.us/j/99397408021
