Planetarium Director Dr. Sara Schultz and science education student Erick Hernandez presented a workshop at the virtual Minnesota Science Teachers Association (MnSTA) Conference on Science Education (MnCOSE). The workshop was on using informal formative assessment in terms of assessment conversations to improve interaction with students for the sake of better understanding and retention. This is the second such workshop Schultz and Hernandez have presented. This work is a continuation of Schultz’s doctoral work on formative assessment in planetarium education.
