Office of Diversity and Inclusion will be hosting Black Votes Matter – Our Vote is Our Voice on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Event Schedule:
- Voters registration: 5 – 5:30 p.m.
- Speakers: 5:30 – 6 p.m.
- Food: 6 – 6:30 p.m.
- Concert: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
About Thee United Empire
Meet TUE a.k.a Thee United Empire, Midwest music performers bringing their pop-rap appeal and fun, relatable lyrics to your ears, heart, and soul one song at a time. The charismatic group is made up of Chancey, Big Mike, Chorus Joe.
They aim to bring the hustle and struggles of their lives into relatable lyrics while still bringing people music they can experience their fun side with. The talented artists have opened shows for artist such as: Nelly, Juvenile, Tech N9NE, Yelawolf, T-PAIN, ModSunYung Joc, Lil’ Scrappy, DJ Unk, Gorilla Zoe, Huey, Shop Boyz, ASAP Ferg, and Bone, Thugs, & Harmony.
About the speakers
Ponny White – MSUM student earning her degree in multimedia journalism and political science with a minor in women and gender studies. She currently holds the role of president for the Black Student Union.
Ricky Pallay – Currently holds the role of Director of Contract Development at F5 Project.
