By attending one of these sessions, it will allow you to easily hire both work-study and non-work study students, interns and graduate students for positions you have available in your office. Handshake is our new online employment platform that went live in March 2018. It allows both on-campus and off-campus employers to post positions for MSUM students to view and apply for. By attending one of these training sessions you will learn how to activate your account and post jobs.

In addition, please come with questions and we will try to answer those for you or follow up with our contact at Handshake if we cannot answer them at that time.

If you would like to activate your account ahead of time, please follow the instructions below. Attached is a list of departments already in the system. Please use your department’s name from this list where it asks you to select the name of your company/employer. Please make note that the list might have a slightly different names then what your office is currently titled. For example: MSUM-Library versus MSUM-Livingston Lord Library. If your company/department isn’t on this list, please let us know and we will set one up for you. Once you have created an account and request to join your MSUM-DepartmentName please email or for final approval.
