CNSA adds Addiction Counseling certificate program

The CNSA program at MSUM is excited to announce the opening of an Addiction Counseling certificate program for the Fall 2018 semester.

The Addiction Counseling certificate program is open to anyone with a bachelor’s degree or higher interested in becoming a licensed addiction counselor. This certificate program meets all educational requirements for Minnesota and North Dakota licensing.

Individuals with a Master’s degree or higher in counseling may be able to transfer in credits to count towards the Addiction Counseling certificate. These courses may also be transferred into our MS program if an individual is accepted into the full degree program.

The Addiction Counseling certificate provides a solid counseling framework in addition to specific courses and training in working with individuals with substance use disorders.
