‘Prairie Post Office’ receives awards, recognition
Prairie Post Office: Enlarging the Common Life in Rural North Dakota (2017, NDSU Press), by authors Steven Bolduc (Economics) and Amy Phillips (formerly Social Work), and photographer Wayne Gudmundson (Communications, retired), received a Bronze medal in the Midwest—Best Regional Non-Fiction category of the 2018 IPPY Award. Since 1996, the IPPY Awards have been presented annually by the Independent Publisher Book Awards at the BookExpo in New York City.
Prairie Post Office is also a finalist in two categories of the Midwest Book Awards: (1) Social Science/Political Science/Culture and (2) Total Book Design (Deb Tanner of NDSU Press). The Midwest Book Awards will be presented at the Midwest Independent Publishing Association gala on May 12 in St. Paul.
