Physics & Astronomy Seminar Series: Learning to SURF

MSUM student Chidubem Nuela Enebechi will be presenting the next Physics Department seminar on Friday, Feb. 2 at 3 p.m. in HA 325. Her talk is titled “Learning to SURF: Researching the Modelling of Phase Transforming Cellular Material (PXCM).” She will be talking about her research which has applications like car bumpers, football helmets and earthquake resistant buildings. Nuela will also discuss her whole entire journey of finding, applying and being selected as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) student.
