The Anthology Film Archives in New York City will present a special showcase of work in collaboration with NewFilmmakers NY and Another Experiment by Women Film Festival on Wednesday, December 6, which will include an experimental film called Look Out Point by Kyja K-Nelson (MSUM School of Media Arts & Design). Shot in Iceland and North Dakota, Look Out Point documents landscape through the lens of designated vantage views that reveal changes in our use of land and our physical position in relation to the landscape. Points of interest in this triptych travelogue focus on lands appropriated for energy use, like the Williston Basin Oil Wells and the Karahnjukur Hydropower Plant.
