Brazilian percussion virtuoso to perform Friday at MSUM

The School of Performing Arts is proud to host Brazilian percussion virtuoso and electronic music composer Sergio Krakowski. Sergio will work Thursday and Friday with MSUM percussion students and will then present a solo recital in Fox Recital Hall on Friday, Oct. 6 at 12 p.m. 

Sergio is noted for his unique dedication to the Brazilian pandeiro, a folkloric tambourine, that he has brought into the worlds of jazz, contemporary, and electronic music which he performs throughout Brazil and North America. In addition, he holds a Ph.D. in Computer Music and is the founder of the “Talking Drums” electronic music project.
