First Thursday returns for third year

Thursday, Sept. 7 | 4 p.m. | Langseth 118

MSUM’s popular First Thursday series returns September 7 at 4 p.m. with guest Paul Jensen to discuss “Doing Business in Saudi Arabia.” Jensen, a partner with Green Ways 2Go, spent ten years as a resident of Saudi Arabia managing a division for multi-national Fortune 500 giant Asea Brown Boveri, a Swedish-Swiss enterprise.

The new venue for First Thursday is Langseth Room 118. Students, faculty, and staff interested in attending can make reservations by contacting Professor Ken Meyer at meyer@mnstate.edu. Admittance along with food and beverage are free of charge. Seating is limited.

First Thursday is a production of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies featuring top entrepreneurs and social innovators in the region. The Q&A format and quality of guests has earned the program a 4.85 out of 5.00 satisfaction rate drawn from student surveys conducted last season.

Joe Burgum headlines October’s First Thursday session bringing a unique approach to social innovation for the Fargo-Moorhead area. Dave Monson wraps up the fall slate by introducing new approaches to old standards of leadership and organizational behavior.

Plan to arrive early as the program starts at the top of the hour. Doors are open at 3:30 p.m.
