Students doing service over spring break
College students spend time serving in communities across the country
Are you looking for something to do over spring break? Do you want to travel and make new friends while making a difference in the communities? Well if you answer yes to any of these questions join us on the STLF Pay Forward Tour.
The Pay it Forward tour is a nine-day service-based spring break trip that college students all across the United States will take part in. College students plan, lead and unite 40 participants on each bus, taking them from city to city and engaging in community service projects along the way. Students Today Leaders Forever is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit that engages young people in servant leadership.
This spring break, the Minnesota State University Moorhead STLF group will be heading down to Nashville, Tennessee. Each college tour makes five individual stops before meeting up with other tours in a celebration city. We will be starting our trip off in Des Moines, Iowa, before heading to Jacksonville, Illinois; St. Louis, Missouri; Cave City, Kentucky; Santa Claus, Indiana and then ending our trip in Nashville, Tennessee. Our trip will start on Friday, March 3, and we will return to MSUM on Saturday, March 11.
On this trip we will perform our service project during the morning, eat lunch, and then head back to the bus and travel to our next city. When we reach the new city, we will channel our inner tourist and explore the city. Then at night, we will engage in leadership activities. It is a great way to see the country, make new friends, and make a difference in the communities we serve. It is also a great resume builder. Come on this once in lifetime experience.
