MSUM Physics & Astronomy Series: Physics of Climate Change

Friday, Feb. 3 | 3 p.m. | Hagen 325

Speaker: Dr. Matthew Craig

The physics underlying climate change has been well understood for over 100 years. Measurements taken over that period clearly demonstrate that the temperature of the Earth is increasing and that the increase is largely driven by human-produced carbon dioxide. While data from the most recent IPCC report on climate change will be discussed, the emphasis will be on understanding the effect.
