Sustainable Students Association: Take Back Jack
Wednesday, Nov. 2 | 6-9 p.m.
Come help Minnesota State University Moorhead’s sustainability group (Sustainable Students Association) recycle/compost pumpkins around the community. We will be dividing up into groups and then going around the neighborhood and knocking on people’s doors to ask them permission to take their pumpkin(s) and recycle them. We will also be going around the outside of residence halls and collecting pumpkins there, too. Wear warm clothing and your MSUM gear!
Pumpkins are organic waste therefore they should be composted instead of going to landfills. Make sure to not put any candles, trash, paint or plastic bags into the compost containers. Pumpkins can be dropped off in the designated “pumpkin” containers at the locations below.
- 700 15 Ave N (Public Works Facility)
- 707 Main Ave SE (Youth Hockey Arena)
- 23 St S & 40 Ave (South Side Regional Park)
- 418 Elm St S
