Minnesota State University Moorhead Alumni Foundation receives $5,000 grant from Xcel Energy to fund the Student Scholarship Support project

Moorhead, MN – Minnesota State University Moorhead Alumni Foundation has received a $5,000 grant from Xcel Energy to fund the Student Scholarship Support project for the 2016-2017 school year.

The program that is being supported by the Xcel Energy grant is the MSUM 2+2 Operations Management Program. The 2+2 program offers a wide range of options for students including utilizing a two-year diploma, technical degree, or workforce experience. Classes are offered three ways in this program: on campus at MSUM, on campus at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, Minn., or online from anywhere in the world. Operations management covers a wide spectrum of technical expertise and management training and offers multiple career options. The combination of a two-year technical degree and the leadership training that comes with a four-year B.S degree makes 2+2 Operations Management graduates more likely to have growing success in the future.

The Alumni Foundation is a nonprofit organization serving MSUM. This grant has provided the funds to award six MSUM students a scholarship for the 2016-2017 school year.
