Volunteer with the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center
The Rape and Abuse Crisis Center is currently seeking volunteers for the following areas:
- Front Desk and Childcare: Answering phones, greeting clients, and playing with the children in our child care room.
- Fundraising and Special Events: Helping plan, organize, set up, and work at our various fundraisers and special events throughout the year.
- Crisis Intervention Advocates: Working directly with clients on our after hours/weekend crisis line, providing a supportive ear and resources. This position requires a 40 hour training process (spread out over four weeks.) Our Crisis Intervention Advocate training this winter will begin February 20 and will run through March 14.
In addition, see the attached flyer. We do not have any internships open currently, but we will always take applications from interested students. If a student is interested in an internship opportunity with us, I highly encourage them to begin volunteering with us now so they will be familiar with the agency and our processes.
