“Percussion Theatre: Lights, Camera, Drum!” April 10

The MSUM Percussion Ensemble, inspired by Broadway groups like “Stomp!” and “The Blue Man Group,”  presents a show called “Percussion Theatre: Lights, Camera, Drum!” on Friday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m. on the Hansen Theatre stage on then MSUM campus. The concert features drumming, drama, lighting effects, music, and motion.  Percussionists will use everything from snare drums and marimbas to cigarette lighters, balloons, cardboard boxes, and even hand-made “tubulum” percussion instruments custom built by local instrument designer Chris Dew.
