Earth Month Challenge

The Department of Physics and Astronomy has an Earth Month Challenge.

We challenge other departments and groups to be good to the Earth while being good to themselves.
1) We are expanding what is recycled in our department. We collect cans and bottles as well as other plastics.
2) We are committed to using green transportation methods. Our department commits to having 50% of our faculty and staff walk, bike or take public transportation to and from work during the month of April.
3) We are offering LED light bulbs for sale through our department. Al proceeds benefit the high school robotics team. Save money while being nice to the Earth! (see order form)

If you would like to learn about how you can participate in sustainability on campus, see the Sustainable Students Association (SSA) website. You can also read the SSA and Green Dragons Earth Month Challenge.
