Pengyu Qian, student at the Paseka School of Business, will present a paper titled “Country Risk and its Effects on Institutional Investment Fund Flows: Evidence from Mexico” at the 2015 Upper Midwest Regional Honors Conference in Mankato, MN, March 28th. Pengyu has worked under the advising of Dr. Eduardo Pablo, professor at the Paseka School of Business. The research involves the analysis of a sample of 14,445 observations where investment funds invest in Mexican companies. The paper shows how investment firms based in different countries react differently to country-risk events. The office of the Dean of the College of Business and Innovation, and the University Honors Program are sponsoring Pengyu’s participation at the conference. http://www.mnsu.edu/honors/umrc_conference.html
