Pedrito Martinez Group workshop this afternoon

The Pedrito Martinez Group will present a workshop on Cuban jazz Thursday (March 5) at 4:30 p.m. in Hansen Theatre. The group performs at 7:30 p.m. in the same location. The workshop will include demonstrations and discussions on how Latin jazz is different than “conventional” jazz. The group will also demonstrate different Latin feels (cha cha, mambo, guaguanco). The workshop is free and open to the public. Tickets to the evening performance are available at www.mnstate.edu/tickets or at the door.
