Ponderosa Golf Q&A available online
A question and answer page is available concerning the Regional Science Center, the Ponderosa Golf Course and plans to solely use the property for scientific and educational purposes. The Q&A can be found at www.mnstate.edu/ponderosa.
In 1978, the land was gifted to the university by the Elks Club to establish the Regional Science Center. One portion of the land was later transferred to the Alumni Foundation so it could be leased for golf until a master plan was developed and grant funding secured. The master plan was completed in 1983 and a $527,760 grant application has passed an initial step with the full review expected to be complete in Spring 2015.
