MSUM Rock Climbing Club training for NDSU competition
The MSUM Rock Climbing Club is in its second semester of operation and set to participate in its fifth competition. Sixteen active club members are signed up and training to compete in the 8th annual Fall Crawl at NDSU on October 25th. With #dragonpride and new team uniforms, club members are fired up and excited to be more involved with the local climbing community.
Fall 2014 semester marks the first time all MSUM students are able to take climbing classes at the Wellness Center, become belay qualified climbers, and hone their skills on campus. Since the launch of climbing classes, participation at the Rock Wall and in the climbing club has seen a significant increase.
Climbing club members are made up of seasoned climbers and new comers that train together regularly. Any inquires about joining the rock climbing club or taking classes can be sent to wellness@mnstate.edu or call the front desk of the wellness center at 218-477-4300
