Henry Gwiazda talks ‘Beatles’ March 31 @ Plains Art Museum
Henry Gwiazda, Music Composition and Theory, will talk about the experimental dimensions of the Beatles’ “White Album” and situate it in the music development of the Fab Four Thursday, March 31 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Plains Art Museum. He will also discuss its continuing impact on popular music today and why it deserves the rank of number 10 in “Rolling Stone’s” roster of the 500 greatest albums of all time. The event is in conjunction with the Plains’ exhibition The White Album: The Beatles Meet the Plains.
Before Gwiazda’s lecture, museum visitors may enjoy a cash bar and light refreshments from 6 to 7 p.m. while they view the exhibit. The lecture takes place in the Gate City Bank Presentation Center. Museum admission fees apply to this event.
