Workshop: Getting Started with Desire2Learn
Who: MSUM Instructors — either new or currently using D2L
What: “Getting Started with Desire2Learn” Workshop
When: Thursday, January 6, 9:00 am -12 noon, Library 222
Summary: Join us for a three-hour, hands-on session for instructors who are planning to, or are just starting to, use Desire2Learn (D2L). The first two hours will be dedicated to basic set up of a course. Time permitting, we will cover:
• Requesting a development course/course shell for Spring 2011
• Initial course set up/activating your course
• Setting up your Gradebook
• Organizing your content
• Adding and using discussions
• Adding and using dropboxes
• Working with quizzes (Respondus, random quizzes)
The last hour will be a work/Q&A time. Instructors already using D2L who are comfortable with the items above are welcome to join us for the last hour.
