1980s books displayed in Library

The Livingston Lord Library is continuing its 50th year celebration by displaying books of the 1980s. In the Circulation Lobby is a selection of bestsellers, including “On the Road with Charles Kuralt,” “The White House Years” by Henry Kissinger, and two books of photojournalism, “A Day in the Life of America” and “A Day in the Life of the Soviet Union.” On second floor notable children’s books of the 1980s are displayed, including “The Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg, “Sarah, Plain and Tall” by Patricia MacLachlan, and “The People Could Fly: American Black Folktales” retold by Virginia Hamilton. The exhibits will be available through January.
