Printing Services/Copies Plus Team serves campus printing needs

Dear MSUM Campus Community,

Both Printing Services (The Print Shop) and Copies Plus have provided printing services to the campus community for many years. With recent retirements in Printing Services, there has been some concern about the capacity to deliver printing support now and in the future. We’d like you to know that we are working together to provide the best service to meet all of your needs.

To deliver the best possible service to all users, we ask that black and white print requests be submitted two business days in advance, and color requests three business days in advance of needing the materials.  Requests will be handled on a first come first serve basis.  Rush orders will not take priority over other print jobs already submitted.

You can make your requests to either Copies Plus or Printing Services. The two operations will be working together to print your projects.

To submit a request to Printing Services, please do one of the following:

  1. Drop off your print jobs at Printing Services in Frick Hall and complete a paper requisition form
  2. Complete the attached form (the Printing Services Requisition form below) and email the form and your file to printing@mnstate.edu

To submit a request to Copies Plus, please do one of the following:

  1. Drop off you print jobs at Copies Plus in the Comstock Memorial Union room 103.
  2. Email your print jobs with attachment(s) to copyplus@mnstate.edu

Course Packet Orders

Copies Plus will now be printing all professor course packets.  We are working together with Printing Services to make this transition seamless for you and your students.

Packet orders can now be submitted at www.mnstate.edu/cmu/services/copiesplus/ online; however, during this transition year, you may still place your order at Copies Plus or the Bookstore.  If possible, please utilize the online form to speed up production and eliminate errors.  Our new procedure will allow students to pick up all their course materials at the Bookstore, enabling them to utilize financial aid charging and avoid two pick-up sites.  Please anticipate a two-week time frame from when the packet is submitted to when it will be available for students to pick up at the Bookstore. Please bring a hard copy of your packet to Copies Plus or submit it electronically by emailing copyplus@mnstate.edu.

Copies Plus is no longer able to provide a complimentary packet; however, we will provide you one at cost if you provide your departmental cost center on the online form.   These changes are to stay in line with current Bookstore policies and to be fiscally sound.

We apologize for any inconvenience these new procedures may cause, but we believe we are heading in the right direction to better serve our faculty and students.  Your patience and understanding is appreciated during this transitional period.

If there are any questions or concerns about printing support, please feel to contact Printing Services at x2098 or email Jerry Nygard at printing@mnstate.edu or Copies Plus at x2121 or email at copyplus@mnstate.edu

Thank You,

Your Printing Services/Copies Plus Team
