The International Water Institute has recently completed a LiDAR mapping project for the entire U.S. portion of the Red River Basin. Ruth Legg, wife of MSUM emeriti mathematics professor Milt Legg, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Milt was the chair of the mathematics department for many years (until 1993) and retired from MSUM in 1996. He and Ruth lived on Lake Vermillion, and most recently, Duluth. A service is planned for Saturday, July 31 in Virginia, Minn.
