The University Symphony Orchestra opens the 46th season of orchestra at Minnesota State University Moorhead with “Symphonic Cheer” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9 in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Hansen Theatre.

The program features an overture showcasing the lighthearted verve of Rossini and an ever-popular Dvořák symphony filled with the tuneful Bohemian folk music he loved.
