MSUM String Teachers Clinic Oct. 10

MSU Moorhead offers a free clinic for area string teachers on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts, Room 148.

Guest clinician Dr. Michael Hopkins will present, “Making Your Orchestra Sound Like a Million Bucks: A Guide to Selecting the Right Repertoire for Your School Ensemble.” Hopkins is an Associate Professor at the University of Vermont where he conducts the University of Vermont Symphony Orchestra and serves as music director of the professional Burlington Chamber Orchestra. He is the author of 25 published music compositions and arrangements with Alfred, Kendor, and Grand Mesa Music. His website, The String Pedagogy Notebook, has received worldwide recognition.
