The 37th season of the MSUM Summer Cinema Series closes tonight. Closing the series on Monday, July 29, is a selection of silent comedy short films by Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd and Laurel & Hardy. After this showing, treats will be served in the hallway.
A film by MSUM majors in the Cinema Arts and Digital Technologies Department is one of 15 finalists for the 2012 National Film Challenge. The student group that made the film, Cinethusiasts, competed with 103 other filmmaking groups. MSUM Film, Graphic Communications and Theatre alumni participated in a filmmaking competition this past weekend, Feb. 18-20, that gave them 48 hours to write, produce, edit, and submit a short film with a given set of variables (prop, character, line of dialogue, and theme).
