Alums Participate in 48-hour Filmmaking Competition

A Billion Bulbs

MSUM Film, Graphic Communications and Theatre alumni participated in a filmmaking competition this past weekend, Feb. 18-20, that gave them 48 hours to write, produce, edit, and submit a short film with a given set of variables (prop, character, line of dialogue, and theme).

With time to spare, Team Circa Productions, comprised of alumni Amber Johnson, Benjamin Efron and Dustin Riccio (Film), Dustin Solmonson (Film/GComm), and Joe Rapp (Theatre), completed their 6-minute short film, which included a few special effects shots. The first phase of this competition includes an online voting competition. If you would like to help out some fellow Dragons (and see a pretty great short film), visit http://www.circa-productions.com/vote to see instructions on how to vote for their film.

“We really worked hard on this one and are quite proud of it, so we appreciate the help of anybody and everybody in supporting us through this round.” -Dustin Solmonson, Producer – Circa
