Economics program hosts Twin Cities Alumni Reunion

Alumni, current students, faculty members, and guests of the MSUM Economics program were among the fifty people gathered in the Twin Cities on April 27, 2017. Economics alumnus David Slovick hosted current students and faculty members at Allina Health in Minneapolis, a not-for-profit health care organization that operates over 90 clinics and 12 hospitals in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Three Economics students presented at the undergraduate student sessions of the Eastern Economic Association meetings in New York City. Cody Rittenhouse studied the relationship between business climate across states and poverty rates; Cody found that states with better business climate as measured by Forbes magazine have lower poverty rates.
