Finance majors Jenna Kalthoff and Peter Olson, along with alumnus Eric Krupke and advisor Dr. Thomas Hanson presented four research projects at the Academy of Business Research Conference in San Antonio last week. The papers by Kalthoff and Krupke were named best papers in their session.
A research paper coauthored by three faculty members of the school of business, Drs. Sheri Erickson, Mary Stone, and Thomas Hanson, as well as three undergraduate students, Abby Tolifson, Jenna Kalthoff, and Netsai Ngongoni, was accepted for publication in the Academy of Strategic Management Journal. Dr. Thomas Hanson, assistant professor of finance in the Paseka School of Business, had an article published in the latest issue of the Review of Accounting and Finance. The article examines high frequency trading in a simulated stock market and the impact on volatility, liquidity and profitability.
