A research paper coauthored by three faculty members of the school of business, Drs. Sheri Erickson, Mary Stone, and Thomas Hanson, as well as three undergraduate students, Abby Tolifson, Jenna Kalthoff, and Netsai Ngongoni, was accepted for publication in the Academy of Strategic Management Journal. The paper is titled “Shareholder value and crisis communication patterns: An analysis of the Ford and Firestone tire recall,” and it examines the stock market reaction to public announcements about the product recall scandal from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
